Many hours of imagining how this project might become reality have been spent over the past 12 years. One of my favorite waking dreams is to visualize this tranformation. Big rocks, the size of a car, have been seen in my dream. But I drove past the Camas Quarry on the Washington side of the Columbia River and bingo - my rocks! Then, after having driven past a backhoe with a sign saying - for hire - hanging on it - I called Will. Presto, I was in business. Will and his crew have been amazing to work with. Will brought over his back hoe and his front loader; my wish was his command. I drained the pond. Will began by creating an access route from the front street south of the house to the pond area. He made a ramp down into the empty, very muddy pond area and began tearing down the old rock walls. Muck and mud was everywhere. I ordered my first 13 tons of Camas boulders. Will placed them where I pointed. I was giddy from the pressure and excitement.
